Jack Tone Golf is a Public 18 hole golf course located in Ripon, California.
Jack Tone Golf Course first opened for play in 1997. The course was designed by George Buzzini.
Jack Tone Golf Course is an executive course. The layout is very wide open with average-sized fairways that are undulating and fast. There is one lake on the course that comes into play on three holes, primarily on the course's signature hole, #17, a 127-yard, par 3. Strategy on this hole critically depends on a prevailing wind from the left. If the wind is present, a low punch shot is recommended. If no wind exists, golfers may opt for a high tee shot onto the green.
Par for the course is 62. From the back tees the course plays to 3715 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 3292 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 3, a par-5 that plays to 473 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 8, a par-3 that plays to 86 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 3, a 473 yard par-5 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at Jack Tone Golf Course is # 11, a 142 yard par-3.

This is a very interesting executive course with what I think are the most interesting greens in the area. Some of the 3 pars may be short, but the crowned greens assure that any shot not solidly on target will be sent bounding away from where you wanted to be. As another reviewer said, this is a great course to sharpen your short game
Course condition is not "country club", but it gets better every week. To me the most important thing about Jack Tone is the pride of ownership of your owner/hosts, George and Sharon Buzzini. They obviously love the place and are genuinely happy to have you share their course. You can finish an eighteen hole round in 2.5 hours, but you are likely to spend at least another hour enjoying the hospitality of the Buzzinis and their staff. Think of "Cheers" as a golf course and you get the idea. In no time at all "everybody knows your name." That's a special place

If you are looking for a course where you never need to call ahead for a tee time and never need to worry about course congestion ,or if you are taking your Son or Wife for their first round of golf, then this might suit you. But if you want to play a real round of golf on a real course then... Drive up the freeway about 10 minutes to Manteca Park Golf Course and you will play at a MUCH better course for the same $.
